Background, values and mission
Who is behind MR Consulting?
My name is Maurizio Ridolfi and I am the founder of MR Consulting, a freelance HR and employer branding practice for SMEs in Belgium.
I spent 15 years at Brussels Airlines, from cabin crew to Inflight Manager, then instructor and onboarding coordinator. That's where I learned what holds a team together under pressure: Clarity of roles, strong relationships, ability to ease tensions.
Alongside this, I worked for eight years in public relations, events and business development. I was also account manager in business aviation, where high-end client relationships leave no room for approximation.
Since 2020, I have moved into supporting companies as an independent consultant. This mix of background, hands-on work, relationships and structuring is now the heart of my approach.
What makes me different
It all started with something I saw around me and lived myself: how alone the leader of an SME or scale-up can feel.
I have seen too many leaders carry the full weight of their company on their own shoulders, wishing they had a trusted, versatile person beside them to help them build their internal structure.
I also know that small organisations work with limited budgets.
Yet I firmly believe that these companies deserve to be known, structured and visible just as much as large groups.
HR & employer branding: a complementarity born in the field
During two assignments, I had the opportunity to work on both HR topics and on communication and employer branding at the same time. I discovered a combination that suits me particularly well: the structuring side of HR and the creative side of marketing.
These experiences made me want to go further. I then pursued an Executive Master's degree in marketing and communication to develop my skills in digital marketing, communication, and sales.
It gradually became obvious: bring these two dimensions together in one activity and to offer SMEs an approach that connects what happens inside the company with the way it becomes visible outside.
This desire to learn didn't stop there. To structure and grow others, I believe you first have to keep training and evolving yourself. This constant search for progress is what drives me in my work.
But collecting knowledge does not interest me if it stays theoretical or locked in manuals. My deepest conviction is that knowledge is made to circulate freely.
It is a life philosophy: sharing enriches the person who receives, but also the person who gives.
